We believe that together we can make a greater change for Black, Indigenous, and individuals of colour in STEM who identify as women at Brock. We understand how hard it may be as a woman of colour to navigate STEM professional fields that are historically dominated by white men. We want to create a space where we recognize intersectionality and validate these struggles and provide holistic support and resources.
We want to lead networking, recreational, and professional events throughout the year that BIPOC women can access. This can help teach about opportunities available in the Niagara region and throughout Canada as well as establish a positive and welcoming experience at Brock. We aim to collaborate with and unite academic and minority advocacy groups on Brock to allow stronger interpersonal relations within BIPOC women and build a stronger feeling of belonging and empowerment.
