The General Science Student Success Network (GSSSN) at Brock University is a student-led organization dedicated to supporting and empowering general science students through collaborative resources, skill-building opportunities, and a strong sense of community. Our club focuses on bridging the gap between coursework and essential academic skills by offering workshops, targeted sessions, and specialized resources that enhance abilities like intermediate Excel use, critical data analysis, and scientific communication—areas often under-emphasized within the curriculum.
Our goals are to address students' academic needs by creating a space for feedback, advocating for improvements, and promoting an accessible pathway to academic and career success. We host regular events featuring guest speakers, hands-on workshops, and informal study sessions, encouraging students to explore interdisciplinary interests and build the skills they need to thrive in diverse scientific fields. Through GSSSN, students can cultivate valuable connections, gain relevant experience, and advance their educational journey with confidence and support
