Brock Anime

The Brock Anime club is available for all members of the community. We aim to create a fun, and entertaining environment for all who enjoy anime, manga, costumes and cosplaying; or have a general interest in Japanese culture. We want to create a space for enthusiasts to gather and connect. Enjoying anime was not seen as cool for many years and those who enjoy this genre tend to not say so openly. We want to be an inclusive and welcoming space for enthusiasts and newcomers alike who have had little interaction with the genre. We also want to explore the traditions and culture behind the Japanese films that have enthralled so many people despite the societal view of Anime that has been perpetuated since the late '60s. To those who enjoyed it, they became fans but there were also many who looked at the art in a derogatory light due to its Asian origins.
