VPSS Monthly Update August 2024

Shinaya Peiris

New VPSS, Shinaya Peiris, has been appointed. She is a recent Brock graduate with a concentration in Operations Management from the Business Administration program.
Shinaya previously worked with BUSU as a Street Team member in 2023-2024, and everyone at the office is thrilled to have her on board.
She began her office duties part-time during the week of August 12th while completing her notice period at her previous job.
As of August 19th, 2024, Shinaya has transitioned to full-time office hours.
Celyn, the Events Manager, and Chloe, the Clubs Manager, have brought Shinaya up to speed on Badger Fest events and execution. They are currently working together, and everything is running smoothly.
Shinaya is also leading the planning of the social events for OUSA GA, particularly around OUSA’s 60th anniversary, after being briefed on the OUSA GA planning.
She has also been briefed on Clubs Carnival planning, which the VPUA and President managed until her appointment.
Shinaya is now focusing on planning events for Wellness Week in the fall, as these were still in progress when our previous VPSS left.
Volunteers for BadgerFest have been finalized, and the volunteer form is now closed.
