Olajumoke (Ola) Shobowale, 3rd year Public Health Major, took home first place in the Brock’s Got Talent 2024 competition, hosted by the Brock University Students’ Union (BUSU). Ola will go on to represent Brock University in the Ontario’s Got Talent Finals this March.
“Participating in Brock’s Got Talent wasn’t merely about performing; it was an opportunity for me to express my passion and forge connections with others in an enjoyable manner,” said Olajumoke. “It provided an avenue to break away from the monotony of daily life and spread happiness. I'd eagerly embrace the experience again, drawn by the profound sense of satisfaction it provided.”
Ola finished first on Feb. 8, when she competed on the Brock’s Got Talent Stage in front of a panel of judges, including Canada’s Got Talent winner MEAVE.
Ontario’s Got Talent will take place March 8, at Conestoga College, where Ola will compete against winners from seven other Ontario post-secondary institutions for the title and $900 worth of prizes.
