Welcome Badgers! We are your Brock University Student Union, but you can call us BUSU.
We know your first year at university can be overwhelming, we are here to help you transition into university life as smoothly as possible.
Who is BUSU? BUSU is an organization representing, advocating, and enriching the university experience for all Brock undergraduate students. BUSU has long served the needs of students through impactful initiatives such as comprehensive access to healthcare benefits.
If you’re a new student to Brock University, you may not know that you have a comprehensive Health and Dental coverage thanks to StudentVIP Health and Dental Plan.
“The StudentVIP Health and Dental Plan is a vital component for all Brock students, providing the foundation they need for academic success,” said BUSU Vice-President, University Affairs, Carleigh Charlton. “Students can focus on their education without the worry of health care costs and have a sense of security knowing that their physical and mental health needs are taken care of.”
Student benefits include prescription drugs, health practitioner visits, dental, travel and accident coverage. Students can download the free Medavie Blue Cross app to access their benefits card and save money at pharmacies, dentists and practitioners, and to view their usage data and instantly submit claims. The app also allows students to sign up for direct deposit to have their claims reimbursement paid right to their bank account.
