Let’s build a better Brock together! Hello Badgers! My name is Yasmin Elgerf, and I’m a second-year Computer Science student running for the BUSU Board of Directors 

We all pay for Brock’s facilities, yet many students—especially women—can’t fully access them. The gym is overcrowded, and the few women’s-only hours are poorly scheduled, with one even on a weekend. The pool doesn’t offer any women’s-only hours at all, despite Brock having more female than male students. This needs to change. I’m advocating for expanded women’s gym hours and introducing women’s-only pool hours to make athletics more accessible for everyone. 

Beyond that, I want more transparency in BUSU—students deserve to know where their money is going and how it benefits them. University should be more than just academics—it should be a fair, supportive, and fun experience for all students. 

With two years of leadership experience as Co-President of a club and Public Relations Director for Brock’s 2023 Club of the Year, I know how to advocate for real change. I’m here to represent YOU and make sure Your voice, your concerns, and your ideas are heard.
