Hey badgers, my name is Ian Bhimani, and I am a Third Year BBA Co-op student, majoring in Finance.
I am excited to run for the Board elections once again! After having a memorable experience from the past year, my aim is to keep the institutional knowledge within the institution.
Brock is more than just a university, for me; it is a space which I call home, and my goal is to ensure that every single student studying at Brock feels like home, when on campus. In my first year I got involved with a lot of BUSU clubs, but my best memory lies with when I started a club called the Soccer Screening Club, where I took the initiative to gather students with similar interests to enjoy the sport they loved the most. BUSU gave me the opportunity to network with people and make lifelong connections that I will forever value.
My involvement with the university and different clubs across campus has helped me develop a deep underNominateing of the diverse needs and experiences of Brock students. It has shown me the importance of fostering a sense of belonging and community for everyone, regardless of their background. Through these experiences, I have grown both personally and professionally, gaining leadership skills and a passion for advocacy that I aim to bring to the Board. Once elected, I would like to continue my goal to make every student on campus feel more involved. From strengthening our inclusivity to creating a welcoming environment, every Brock student deserves a place they can call “HOME”.
