My name is Shivam Yadav, and I am a Biomedical Sciences student at Brock University with a zeal for leadership, strategic planning, and engaging with the community. My varied experiences in sales leadership, volunteering, and peer mentoring have endowed me with the necessary skills to make a significant contribution to the President's Advisory Committee.

As an informed student aware of the Brock community's challenges, I am keen to support the BUSU President in realizing their objectives for the year. Working as a Sales Associate at Lindt has sharpened my skills in receiving feedback, adjusting to new challenges, and building positive relationships—key abilities for providing a conduit for student opinions. My continuous training with St. John Ambulance has reinforced the value of teamwork, discipline, and caring service, enhancing my commitment to empower others with considerate and effective advice.

I am always enthusiastic to absorb new experiences and connect with individuals who share similar interests. During my first year, I faced numerous challenges, but the Smart Start Team and BUSU team were instrumental in helping me transition into student life at Brock with their fun learning events and supportive advice. Inspired by their support, I actively seek to aid others and give back to our community when ever it is possible for me, as emphasized by Robert Hilson, the BUSU General Manager, in the meeting.

I look forward to the prospect of collaborating closely with the BUSU team, offering strategic insights and student viewpoints to develop initiatives that improve campus life. My proactive approach and commitment to representing students are assets I am confident will contribute significantly to the strategic direction of BUSU.
