Manifesto

Candidate for the position of Vice President University Affairs Advisory Committee

Andrew Hawlitzky

Parking. Affordability. Transparency. Trust. Those are my most important initiatives I'd live to help BUSU achieve.

I'm an editor and Board member for The Brock Press where I have written extensively about BUSU. A few of the articles I have currently written can be viewed here:

During my time at The Brock Press I've worked to make the company as accessible to the studet body as possible and many of those initiatives you will hearing and seeing substantialy more this year including: a return to our print editions, digital archive of Brock's 60 history, volunteer submission and poetry sections. Through my work at The Brock Press I think I have a greater understanding of BUSU than the average student. I have had multiple conversations and interviews with several members of the Executive team, Board, and other staff in the past.

I've been on the President Advisory Committee since 2023.

I hope to continue the work I started at BUSU and create an open environment where all ideas can be heard and real change can be achieved.
