Malik Abdullah

My name is Malik Abdullah, and I am a second-year Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc) student. As an international student coming from the Middle East, I’ve embraced the diverse and enriching experience that Brock offers, both academically and through student life. I am currently a Goodman School of Business Ambassador and the Business Students Association's (BSA) Director of Corporate Relations. These positions have given me the chance to support the development of strong relationships between students, staff, and business executives and to help create a lively, welcoming campus community.

Apart from my leadership positions, I’m passionate about giving back and volunteering. I’m actively involved with the volunteering team at Brock International, where I get to help fellow international students thrive in their new surroundings and adjust to a new environment. I enjoy forming new relationships and am always willing to help out my peers emotionally and academically. I see more to university life than solely studying in a classroom. In my opinion, making the most of our time at university requires a mix of both, academic knowledge with practical experience gained through clubs, voluntary work, and community involvement.

I’m excited to bring this mindset to the position I am running for, and I look forward to advocating for a vibrant, welcoming, and supportive student environment where every student feels valued and can succeed at Brock University. My goal is to contribute to shaping a student governance system that encourages student participation and ensures their voices are heard, leading to a stronger Brock University community where all can thrive.
