Hi, I’m Sherika and I am a 4th year Media and Communications student. This is my first year working as a Brock TV producer, and I am very excited about this opportunity and the learning experiences that I will embark on. I also am very excited to work with my fellow colleagues, as we will teach and learn from each other. Ever since I was young, I have always had a love and fascination for photography and videography. I am also a huge fan of films, and always wanted to learn the creative process of how they come to be. I had a great opportunity to tap into my creative side and took on a communication technology class in secondary school. Throughout those 2 years, I learned so much about the basics of comm tech, from editing software's to editing techniques, camera handling, angles/shots, to learning how to film trailers and short films. This strengthened my love for photography and videography all the more and improved my knowledge when it came to embarking on new personal projects. I can’t wait to continue working as a Brock TV producer and hope to learn more about the industry, in hopes of increasing my chances on getting a job in my field once I graduate. Throughout this experience I hope to also create video concepts that I can be proud of and add to my creative portfolio. I’m looking forward to the many exciting experiences that I will have at Brock TV!
