What is the A Team?

BUSU's Advisory Council meets three times per year - September, December, and March. Members will hear important updates from BUSU, learn about available volunteer opportunities, and provide feedback on student union services and policies.

Advisory Committees

A Team members can also join a committee to work more closely with different areas of the student union (limited seats on each).

Elections and Referendum Committee

Members of the Elections and Referendum Committee (ERC) will be responsible for helping draft any memorandum of understanding that will go to referendum during the election cycles. They are also responsible for overseeing any infraction given out by the Returning Officer to a candidate who has broken rules listed in Policy 400. ERC meets as needed during the two election cycles.

Clubs Advisory Committee

Members of the Clubs Advisory Committee will be responsible for supporting the clubs portfolio at BUSU. This primarily involves approving large club funding requests. This committee also helps in drafting changes to club policy, reviewing de-ratifications and supports the club’s team in executing events such as clubs banquet. Committee members meet once a week during the school year.

VP University Affairs Advisory Committee

Members of the VPUA Advisory Committee (VPUA-AC) will be responsible for helping assist the VPUA in completing their goals for the year. They will act as a sounding board for feedback and provide student input on various initiatives. The VPUA-AC will also be responsible for completing the appointment process for the VPUA in upcoming year.

VP External Affairs Advisory Committee

Members of the VPEA Advisory Committee (VPEA-AC) will be responsible for helping assist the VPEA in completing their goals for the year. They will act as a sounding board for feedback and provide student input on various initiatives. The VPEA-AC will also be responsible for completing the appointment process for the VPEA in upcoming year.
